We later transported planer shavings to turkey growers in Western Michigan, but rising fuel costs made the operation unsustainable. In 2000, we invested in a Beast 3680 Horizontal Grinder to produce our own mulch from local wood waste. This expansion also led to grinding industrial wood waste for mulch production and cogeneration fuel.
